Muskets & Magic Rankings with an early-access stamp
Not a Nanoplex patch note. A living read of playtests, caps, and maps.
Muskets & Magic is still in early access. Nanoplex Studio is iterating on this Roblox team PvP shooter in public, on PC, mobile, and console, and every list on this hub should be read with that sentence in front of it. There is no frozen meta, no seasonal reset, and no official S-tier plaque on the spawn screen. Crowns do not buy rank. Playtests do.
This hub exists so you can jump to three lists instead of arguing in a lobby with zero shared language. Class tiers rank the eight jobs. Mage tiers rank Fire, Earth, Light, and Death. Faction tiers rank nations by map, because a Sitari Knight is not the same sentence on Little Green and Wickland Manor.
What “playtest-informed” means
It means the ranks come from how rounds actually feel in early access: ticket bleed, one-life panic, Attack Defense clocks, mage caps, and the fact that an Ensign standing near three teammates reprints a squad. It does not mean a scraped API, a tournament circuit, or a developer blog with a chart.
When Nanoplex retunes bandage range, rock damage, or Sklirite, the lists move. When a new map lands, the faction list moves first. When Mage stops being capped, the class list moves. If a page still reads like last month after a patch, believe the patch.
How to read S through C
S means you should be unhappy if the slot is empty on a typical ticket round. Ensign, Healer, Officer live here on the class list because tickets, EXP, auras, and white chat print value even when the player is only decent.
A means high impact with a condition. Mage is A because the kit slaps and the cap exists. Grenadier is A because melee breaks win rooms. Sapper is A on Attack Defense and a question mark on a deathmatch forest.
B means always needed, rarely glamorous. Line Infantry and Rifleman. Teams that skip B to stack A lose to a volley.
C means specialist or map-dependent. A bow on an open lane, a Brute on a field, a Knight who started the charge from the next county. C is not “unplayable.” C is “ask the loading card first.”
We do not use F. Early access is too wet for dumpster ranks. A bad map pick is not a bad class.
Three lists, three questions
Ask the class list: what job is missing on my team right now? If you already have a flag, a medic, and an officer, you do not need a fourth S pick. You need muskets.
Ask the mage list: which school is on my nation, and is the cap open? Earth at range, Fire on the line, Light as heal/beam, Necromancer as the unique staff. If the cap is closed, the answer is Line Infantry, not a tantrum.
Ask the faction list: what map did we vote? Musket nations own open fields. Sitari owns close melee and the manor. Descendants of Death own forest ambush maps. If you picked Sitari into Little Green because the tabard was pretty, the tier list already warned you.
What we are not ranking
We are not ranking Crowns cosmetics. A Stolen Musket skin does not outrank a default musket.
We are not ranking private-server command abuse. setClass is not a build.
We are not ranking player skill as if it were a class. A great Rifleman beats a tourist Mage. The list assumes average hands on a public server, because that is where most of this Roblox game is played.
We are not ranking lore population. Zemliya’s 80 million people do not get extra tickets. Sitari’s million-strong army does not get extra lives on Remnants.
How a public round should use this hub
Before spawn, glance at the map. Then open the matching list in your head.
Little Green or Prok’s Glade: class list first. You want Ensign, Healer, Officer, then muskets, then Mage if the cap is open. Faction list is a mirror; stop blaming Ignia when you queued without a flag.
Final Stand: faction list plus class list. Descendants of Death get the forest bonus. Ignia needs discipline, not a parade. One life means S-tier support is still good and not a reprint machine.
Remnants: faction list is Sitari versus undead. Mage list matters because Light and Death are the only schools in the building. Class list still wants a flag if the mode allows it, and a medic even if it does not.
Wickland Manor: Sapper jumps up. Sitari jumps up. Pistol Officers and Grenadiers jump up. Earth rocks still work on people who stand in windows.
After the round, do not rewrite the entire hub because you died. Ask whether the empty slot was S-tier support, a missing builder, or you reloading on a skyline.
Why the lists will shift
Mage caps are a balance tool. If Nanoplex lifts them, Mage slides toward S and Line Infantry becomes the thing people forget. If rocks get nerfed, Earth slides and Fire looks better. If Sklirite gets thicker, Sitari stops being a manor specialist and starts being a problem on fields. If stolen muskets get accuracy, Descendants of Death stop being “the forest pick.”
That is healthy. Early access that never moves ranks is a museum. Treat this hub like a briefing, not scripture.
Where to go from the hub
If you only open one child, open class tiers and fill the S slots before you experiment. If you main a glove or staff, open mage tiers and learn why Earth is the long-range argument. If you pick nations for flavour, open faction matchups and let the map veto your tabard. Then go play a round. Rankings that never leave the wiki are just fan fiction with extra headers, and Muskets & Magic in early access already has enough folklore.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Muskets & Magic players.
Is this an official Nanoplex tier list?
No. It is a playtest-informed fan ranking for early access. When the studio retunes a glove, a bandage, or a map, believe the patch over this page.
Will these ranks stay still?
No. Muskets & Magic is in early access. Class caps, mage damage, Sklirite, and new maps will move every list. Recheck after updates.
Which list should I read first?
Class tiers if you are filling a spawn slot. Mage tiers if you have a glove or staff. Faction tiers if you are voting a map or picking a nation.
Why is there no F tier?
Early access is too unfinished for dumpster ranks. Map-dependent kits sit in C. A bad vote is not the same thing as an unplayable class.
Do Crowns change tiers?
No. Crowns buy cosmetics. They do not move Ensign above Line Infantry or Fire above Earth.
